Kelsey

Keep up with Marsha’s niece Kelsey as she spends her summer learning how
to sew!

FAB

I don't know about you all, but there are days I can't see my cutting tables. Yes, I said tables. I have two that are designated as cutting tables, but only one really gets the honors.

The reason that only one can be cut on is that the second one has too much stuff on it. It's covered with projects that I need to finish, but I just can't seem to get to them. Instead of putting them away in my fabric closet, (out of sight, out of mind) I keep them front and center so they will hit me in the face....reminding me that they need to be finished. Is anyone with me on this one?

I've often thought that if I were locked in my sewing room, I could stay there for months and still not finish all the projects that are there. There would still be fabric in my fabric closet, there would still be quilts that need to have their bindings put on. (Notice the pile of quilts on the chest in the corner.)

I must say that I'm not the Lone Ranger in regard to this dilemma. I talk with so many ladies that are in the same boat I am. It's comforting to know that I have others with which to share this predicament. I think I'll start a support group where we can encourage each other to keep pecking away at those UFO's.

So, answer back. Tell me what you're doing, how you're solving your problem. Send photos of those finished projects and I'll post them on our website. Lets Go Girls!! May 2010 be the year we put a big dent in our backlog of unfinished projects!!

Happy Stitching!
Marsha
