Hello everyone!,
We have moved and are really looking forward to seeing you. Check us out! Our new address is 1601 E. Lohman, Las Cruces. We are located next door to the Sherwin Williams Paint store.
January means the start of another Mystery Quilt. Marsha C. will begin the 2009 Mystery Quilt on THURSDAY, JANUARY 22 at 1:30 PM. You will receive your first set of instructions on this day. Each month you will receive a new set of directions. The class has a one time cost of $10. The class will meet the 4th Thursday of every month at 1:30 PM. If you haven't joined us for a Mystery Quilt in the past, why not make 2009 the year to do it. If you are unable to attend the Thursday classes, you can still take the class - attendance is not mandatory!
The Sew Club will begin again in February. See you next month.

Bernina Sewing and Design Center’s Weekly Tips, Tricks & Techniques Here are a couple of tips that are sure to please and give great results!
Press and Rest Works Best! Once you have pressed your fabric pieces, let them cool in place. This prevents distortion of bias edges. (This tip is from Better Homes and Gardens Complete Guide to Quilting.)
Windows Work Wonders! To see what a medium or large print fabric will look like when it's cut into smaller pieces, I cut different size shapes out of a piece of "Funky Foam" sheets (available at Hobby Lobby). My "windows" are 2", 3" and 4" triangles, 2", 3", 4" squares, and a couple of diamond sizes. I then lay my "windows" onto the fabric and "voila," instant picture of what my fabric will look like in my quilt blocks. Click here for more Tips, Tricks and Techniques
